Halil Tikveša
HALIL TIKVEŠA (1935) is a Bosnian painter and printmaker. He graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Sarajevo in 1955, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1962, where he also received his Masters in 1964. He worked as an Associate Professor at the Department of Printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Novi Sad and as a full-time professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo.
He has been exhibiting drawings, paintings, prints, collages, assemblies and objects since 1962. He participated in almost all major European and many international exhibitions and biennials: in Paris, Lugano, Krakow, São Paulo, Alexandria, New Delhi … He has won many awards and recognitions.
