MILOŠ SARIĆ (1927–2005) was born in Belgrade. After finishing the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade, he continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. He is one of the founders of the sculptural group “Prostor 8”. Although sculpture was his primary interest, he was also interested in painting and collage, as well as research in the field of computer media, such as digital sculpture. He participated in many exhibitions in the country and abroad, as well as at sculptural biennials in Midlheim, Brussels and Pittsburgh. He received several significant awards and recognitions.
During his entire working life he remained fully consistent with his manifesto and artistic concept “Blok” (1964). The basis was that “the block is integral to geometric and organic forms” from which the “Cosmological Aesthetics” emerged.
