Miro Glavurtić

MIRO GLAVURTIC (1932, Kotor) is a Montenegrin painter and writer, member and theorist of the Mediala art group. His art practice investigates problems of contemporary art, both with literature and fine art. His canvases show a surreal world surrounded by uncertainty. He graduated from the Faculty of Forestry in Belgrade, but studied painting and writing. He won the Dubravko Horvatić’s poetry award (2011) for the collection Teturam kao sablast. “In illegality there is an alternative, and the alternative always wins.
