KEMAL RAMUJKIĆ (1947) was born in Podgorica and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade, where he also received his master’s degree. He is a full-time professor at the Academy in Novi Pazar and guest professor at the art school in Viborg, Denmark. He has had over 50 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 400 group exhibitions. Ramujkić’s creativity is inspired by the elements of Mediterranean culture and Hellenic civilization, mythical beings, animals and trees, burdened with a multilayered symbolism, thus creating its authentic world in which time has stopped. The figure establishes a new semantic relationship and provides an opportunity for individual interpretation of artistic reality.
