Dragoljub – Raša Todosijević

DRAGOLJUB – RAŠA TODOSIJEVIĆ (1945) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade, and is one of the pioneers of conceptualism as a new artistic practice in Serbia and the region. His art practice involves painting, performance, video art and installations, and he has published several books dedicated to art. His creativity is always provocative because he reviews and redefines artistic and cultural concepts, and his performances are often aggressive, since, he says, he wants to induce negativity in the observer to disconnect them. He has exhibited in numerous exhibitions in the country and abroad, and his works are in many prominent museum collections around the world. He has won many awards and recognitions, including an award at the Venice Biennale 2011, where he represented Serbia.
